Australia's DroneShield rises to over 1-month high on US Army contract

** Shares of DroneShield DRO.AX climb as much as 8.5% to A$1.860, their highest level since August 26

** Stock up 13% so far this week, on track for its best week since early August, if current momentum holds

** The counter-drone tech maker announced on Wednesday that its US unit was awarded a US Domestic Shield Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity defence contract, with a ceiling value of $500 million

** YTD, stock down 40.6%
