CBOT soybeans ease on harvest pressure
CHICAGO, Oct 21 (Reuters) - Chicago Board of Trade soybean futures fell on Wednesday as dry weather allowed farmers to pick up the pace of harvest for what is forecast to be a record-large US crop.
The harvest pressure more than offset support from renewed buying by China.
In Brazil, farmers had planted 26% of the projected area of their 2026/27 soybean crop as of last Thursday, agribusiness consultancy AgRural said on Monday.
A Reuters poll of analysts estimated the US Department of Agriculture would report weekly export sales of soybeans at between 1,800,000-3,000,000 metric tons.
CBOT November soybeans closed 3 cents lower at $12.45-1/4 per bushel.
CBOT December soymeal was $0.40 lower at $348.30 per ton.
CBOT December soyoil dropped 0.76 cent to settle at 65.97 cents per pound.
