French investment company Eurazeo opens office in Abu Dhabi
Oct 1 (Reuters) - French investment and private equity company Eurazeo EURA.PA announced on Thursday the opening of its first Middle East office in Abu Dhabi, highlighting the relative resilience of the United Arab Emirates as a business hub despite the impact of the Iran war.
• "The opening of our Abu Dhabi office reflects both the growing importance of the Gulf for Eurazeo and our confidence in the region's long-term trajectory," Eurazeo's co-chief executives Christophe Baviere and William Kadouch-Chassaing said in a statement
• Eurazeo's move follows a similar step last month by French investment firm Carmignac Gestion, which opened an office in Dubai
• In July, the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) said new company registrations at the Middle Eastern hub had risen 30% in the year to the end of June, despite the ongoing US-Iran war
• Dubai has also pledged financial support to ensure it can continue to act as a major tourism and financial hub
