Australia shares set to drift lower at open, NZ up
Sept 24 (Reuters) - Australian shares were likely to retreat at open on Thursday, with resource-linked stocks expected to lead declines on weaker copper and gold prices, while a rebound in oil prices brought energy-fueled inflationary concerns into focus.
The local share price index futures fell 1.2%, a 59.3-point discount to the underlying S&P/ASX 200 index .AXJO close. The benchmark closed up 0.1% on Wednesday.
New Zealand's benchmark S&P/NZX 50 index .NZ50 rose 0.2% in early trade.
