Australia shares likely to open lower, NZ down
Sept 25 (Reuters) - Australian shares were expected to tick down at open on Friday, weighed by possible losses in heavyweight miners as copper prices lost their sheen, while potential gains in energy stocks could temper some weakness on higher oil prices.
The local share price index futures fell 0.3%, a 7-point discount to the underlying S&P/ASX 200 index .AXJO close. The benchmark lost 0.7% on Thursday.
New Zealand's benchmark S&P/NZX 50 index .NZ50 declined 0.4% in early trading.
