Australia's Premier Investments falls as brokers flag earnings concerns

** On Thursday, retailer posted FY26 EBIT in line with its guidance

** Morningstar (cuts PT by 3% to A$15.5) says FY26 underlying retail EBIT fell 10% on 2% lower sales

** UBS ("Buy", A$16.5) said FY NPAT fell short of expectations, dragged by high effective tax rate of 47% in H2

** Downgrades FY27 and FY28 underlying EBIT forecasts by 1.3% and 1.7% on lower expected sales

** Citi ("Neutral", A$13.3) expects gross profit margins to remain flat in FY27, cost-of-goods benefits from favourable currency movements offset by discounts as consumers face higher rates and fuel prices

** YTD, PMV down about 15%
