Lucara Diamond Corp. is a Vancouver-based diamond mining company, specialising in the acquisition, exploration, development, and operation of diamond properties in Africa. The company’s key asset is Botswana’s Karowe Mine, where Lucara has 100% interests. Lucara is credited with finding the world’s second largest diamond, Lesedi di Rona, in 2015. Lucara was established in 1981 in Vancouver, Canada, but received its current brand name only in 2007. Today, it belongs to the Lundin Group of Companies.
