Valero Energy owns 15 petroleum refineries, 11 ethanol plants and a 50-megawatt wind farm. Valero Energy distributes its products via more than 7,500 branded wholesale sites in 44 US states, Canada, the UK, Ireland and the Caribbean. The company was incorporated on 8 June 1981 and is based in San Antonio, Texas. Valero Energy is listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
