About SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge

Sparebank 1 Nord-Norge is a Norway-based regional bank, which operates in Nordland, Troms, Finnmark and Svalbard counties. Its services include payment, savings, loans and insurance. The Bank reports four segments: Retail market, Corporate market, Leasing and Markets. The Retail market segment offers advisory services and a full range of products through financial centers, direct bank, customer services centre and digital services, such as VIPPS payment service. The Corporate market delivers services to county municipalities. The Leasing segment has responsibilities for the product areas leasing and secured financing. The Markets segment focuses on advice on risk in the corporate market, hedging instruments and trading in interest rate, sale of bonds and certificates, purchase and sale of equities and fund units, among others. The Bank is a part of SpareBank 1-alliansen financial group.

Financial summary

BRIEF: For the fiscal year ended 31 December 2021, SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge interest income decreased 13% to NOK2.54B. Net interest income after loan loss provision increased 30% to NOK2.25B. Net income applicable to common stockholders increased 31% to NOK1.06B. Net interest income after loan loss provision reflects increase in interest earning assets and decrease in interest bearing liabilities.
