Chegg (CHGG) is a direct-to-student learning platform, founded in 2005 and headquartered in Santa Clara, California. It offers tools and services that support students with additional academic course materials. 

Through Chegg’s subscription service, students can access required academic materials and eTextbooks. Chegg Writing platforms provide a suite of tools that allow for plagiarism detection, grammar and writing fluency checks, expert personalised writing feedback and citation generation.

Chegg’s integrated platform of connected academic support services also offers Chegg Life, Chegg Prep and Chegg Internships for personal and professional skills development. It is supported by Busuu, an online language learning platform. The company acquired Thinkful in 2019, a skills-based learning platform for networking and interview grooming to expand its portfolio. 

The company went public in 2013 on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Chegg Inc. stock began trading under the ticker symbol CHGG.
