Established in 1999 as an independent think tank and organised by the ORRF, the ORRF Risk Research Forum is a forum on risk research, which aims to expand and develop the boundaries of knowledge in the field of risk.

The ORRF is internationally recognised as a leading risk research foundation and membership is by invitation only. Members of the ORRF are considered to be leading experts and opinion makers within the risk field. In addition to driving forward the field of risk, the ORRF aims to improve risk performance and increase transparency, which ultimately helps to avoid fraud, corruption and financial crimes. The think tank receives support from the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and the Science Research Council.
