Katharine studied law at Exeter University, where she gained a passion for publishing when writing for and editing the music section of the university magazine. She has been a sub-editor for more than 25 years, kicking off her career in magazine publishing on a number of technology titles before going freelance and moving into books, websites and a wide range of other word-related work. She lives in Bath, UK, with her family and an ever-growing menagerie of mammals, reptiles and invertebrates.
