What is Indie Fund?

This is a funding organisation set up to help independent video game developers. It was created in 2010 by a group of successful independents aiming to invest in the next generation of developers.

If you're a fan of computer games you might have heard of some of the titles it has funded, including The Swapper, Antichamber and Event[0], which was released in 2016.

What you need to know about Indie Fund.

Developers cannot apply directly for investment from the Fund. Instead, its members observe the indie game market and select candidates from those who get lots of interest from the press and gamers. The Fund provides monthly funding for projects to cover development costs. Once the game is released, developers must pay back the initial investment plus 25% of the revenue from sales in the first two years, or until they have doubled their investment - whichever comes first. The Fund currently provides investment to around two or three games per year.
