Heleen is a data journalist and visualization designer based in London. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Nanobiology from the Technical University of Delft and earned a Master’s degree in Computational Science from the University of Amsterdam. Previously she worked as a data journalist at the Dutch newspaper de Volkskrant performing data acquisition and investigative journalism on national news events. Heleen uses analytics and programming to create and support Capital’s editorial and educational content.
