Südzucker AG: Südzucker with significant earnings increase in the second quarter of 2026/27

Südzucker AG recorded a significant increase in operating Group EBITDA to EUR 168 million in the second quarter of the financial year 2026/27 (1 June to 31 August 2026), compared with the prior-year period (Q2 2025/26: EUR 93 million).

This improvement was driven mainly by the CropEnergies and special products segments. In the CropEnergies segment, earnings particularly benefited from higher ethanol prices. In the special products segment, the increase in earnings was primarily attributable to higher sales volumes.

Based on the business performance in the second quarter, Südzucker AG specifies its guidance for the financial year 2026/27 (1 March 2026 to 28 February 2027). The group revenues are expected to range between EUR 8.3 billion and EUR 8.7 billion (previously between EUR 8.1 billion and EUR 8.5 billion), while the forecast range for operating Group EBITDA has been narrowed to between EUR 540 million and EUR 680 million (previously between EUR 480 million and EUR 680 million).

With respect to the forecast for the financial year 2026/27, it is important to note that the future business performance of the Südzucker Group continues to be subject to significant uncertainties due to ongoing geopolitical and global economic developments.
