SpareBank 1 SMN raises interest rates

By Oslo Stock Exchange

In response to Norges Bank's decision on 24 September to increase its key policy rate by 0.25 percentage points, to 4,50 per cent, SpareBank 1 SMN has decided to raise its interest rates on loans and deposits by up to 0.25 percentage points.

"Many of our customers have already adapted to higher interest rates. At the same time, the economic situation remains uncertain, and we have to be ready for this to continue. We encourage customers who are concerned about their personal finances, or who are experiencing financial difficulties, to contact us," says Monica Haftorn Iversen, Executive Director - Retail Banking at SpareBank 1 SMN.

Customers affected by the rate adjustment will shortly receive information on what it means for their loans and deposits via their online banking solution and mobile banking app. The changes will take effect for both new and existing customers as of 30 November. Interest rates may be adjusted by differing amounts for different customer groups.
