Saudi Arabia’s BAAN Holding starts work on $6.7mln Playocity entertainment project in Jeddah

Saudi Arabia's BAAN Holding Group has started implementation works on its 25 million Saudi riyals ($6.7 million) Playocity family entertainment project at Westfield Center in Jeddah in partnership with global entertainment brand Hasbro.
Work on the project commenced on 15 September 2026, with completion and the start of commercial operations scheduled for the first quarter of 2027, the company said in a stock exchange statement on Monday.
Playocity will occupy approximately 2,600 square metres (sqm) and include attractions, interactive activities and immersive entertainment experiences based on a selection of Hasbro characters and brands, according to the statement.
BAAN Holding has appointed Building Facades Contracting Company as the main contractor for the project's fit-out works. Several other suppliers will be appointed for furnishing and equipment works at the entertainment centre.
The project will be financed through a combination of BAAN Holding's internal resources and bank financing facilities, the statement added.
