Sabadell's Q3 reported net profit falls 2% from same period in 2025
MADRID, Oct 29 (Reuters) - Spain's Sabadell SABE.MC said on Thursday that its third-quarter attributable net profit fell 2% due to an unfavourable comparison from the same period in 2025, when it still fully accounted British unit TSB on its books.
The Spanish bank's strategy has shifted to a standalone strategy after TSB's sale in May of 2026, and analysts are now watching if Sabadell will be able to maintain growth rates.
The country's fourth-largest bank in terms of market value reported a net profit of €405 million ($450 million) between July and September, compared to €414 million in the same period last year.
Analysts polled by Reuters expected a net profit of €375 million.
On a pro forma basis, and without the contribution of €70 million from TSB to the net profit in the third quarter of 2025, underlying net profit rose 18%.
