McDonald’s Korea has relocated its headquarters from Jongno Tower in central Seoul to Booyoung Taepyeong Building in Jung District as it expands employee training and menu development capabilities in pursuit of its long-term growth targets.

McDonald’s Korea announced Tuesday that its new headquarters houses a Hamburger University Training Center capable of accommodating up to 130 people at a time. It plans to offer more than 65 training sessions annually, incorporating programs tailored to the Korean market, and train over 1,500 employees a year.

A new test kitchen has also opened at the McDonald’s Taepyeong Building restaurant in the basement, supporting research and development of new menu items tailored to local tastes and changing consumer demand.

The new office nearly doubles meeting space to encourage collaboration and includes employee amenities such as a cafeteria and wellness room.

The relocation is part of McDonald’s Korea’s 2030 Vision, which aims to generate 2 trillion won ($1.5 billion) in annual sales and operate 500 restaurants by 2030.

The company also launched new items under its Happy Snack lineup on Monday, including apple pie and a chicken mozzarella snack wrap.
