STOXX SUFFERS, BUT STAYS STEADY ACROSS THE WEEK

European stocks are down across sectors and countries as Thursday's tech rout spilled across into the broader market with traders risk-averse and seeking safety elsewhere.

The STOXX 600 .STOXX is down 1%, leaving it more or less unchanged across the week. The FTSE is 1.4% lower and the DAX .GDAXI and CAC 40 .FCHI are down around 1%.

Almost European sectors are in the red, with healthcare names .SXDP down 2.2% and among the biggest decliners after biotech company Genmab's earnings disappointed somewhat. Sales of cancer drug EPKINLY slightly missed estimates, and shares were last down 5%.

Tech shares steadied, and were slightly higher on the day, after posting a 3.2% fall on Thursday, when the chip complex took a hammering. ASML ASML.AS shed 6.5% BE Semiconductor BESI.AS 7% and Soitec SOIT.PA 7%.

All were bouncing back on Friday, and Nasdaq futures are up 1%, but the broader market remained under pressure, with consumer staples, food and beverage and oil and gas stocks all down around 1.5%. .SXCSP, .SXEP, .SX3P

One single stock move to highlight is France's TP TEPRF.PA, down over 16% even after recouping some losses, after the outsourcing firm cut its full-year revenue outlook.
