Indonesia's Danantara Sumberdaya to be redefined as export intermediary body in revised rules

By Reuters News

- The Indonesian government will redefine the role of state-owned firm Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia as an export monitoring body rather than the country's sole exporter, chief economic minister Airlangga Hartarto said on Friday.

By the middle of November, it will revise an existing regulation stating that after December 31, exports of strategic commodities such as palm oil, coal and ferroalloys can only be conducted by an appointed state firm.
