India's HDFC Bank rises as CEO succession process moves ahead
Sept 15 (Reuters) - Shares of India's HDFC Bank HDBK.NS rose 2% in pre-open trade on Tuesday after the country's largest private lender moved ahead with its CEO succession process, submitting two candidates to the Reserve Bank of India.
The bank said on Saturday it had submitted the two candidates without disclosing their names, as it looks to replace CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan, who is due to step down when his term ends on October 26.
