Gold miners fall as rising oil prices, Treasury yields weigh on bullion

** Spot gold fell 0.5% to $4,267.83/ounce, having hit its lowest since September 16

** Prices edge lower as rising oil prices and a hawkish shift in Federal Reserve messaging strengthen expectations of higher interest rates

** Top miners Newmont NEM.N and Barrick Mining ABX.TO lose 2.1% and 1.0%, respectively

** US-listed shares of South African miners Gold Fields , Harmony Gold and AngloGold Ashanti AU.N decline between 1.3% and 2.6% each

** Canadian miner Agnico Eagle Mines AEM.TO falls 1.5%
