French and Benelux stocks-Factors to watch on September 15

EIFFAGE FOUG.PA:

French construction group Eiffage was picked for civil engineering works at the Neomat CAM plant in Dunkirk, a project representing an investment of nearly €500 million. The construction and development works will employ up to 400 people and continue until 2028.

EXAIL TECHNOLOGIES EXA.PA:

French high-tech company Exail Technologies reported preliminary first-half operating income rose 61% year-on-year to €46 million ($53.07 million) and postponed its full first half earnings announcement to Sept 24. The company's first-half cash flow was characterized by an increase in working capital requirements of around €70 million, though very significant cash inflows are expected in the second half of the year.

GENFIT GNFT.PA:

French biopharmaceutical company Genfit is advancing nangibotide into a Phase 2A ACLF study in the fourth quarter of 2026 with data expected in 2027, after the drug showed a statistically significant reduction in mortality in severe COVID-19. Nangibotide has demonstrated a favourable safety profile across four clinical trials.

TOTALENERGIES TTEF.PA:

French energy major TotalEnergies and the Iraqi government have agreed to start discussions on energy projects in the country involving large-scale investments aimed at boosting Iraqi oil production while contributing to improving energy sovereignty and the country's energy transition.

Separately, the company announced a €100 million partnership with artificial intelligence firm Mistral to use its AI models to support TotalEnergies' geosciences exports.


AXA AXAF.PA

The French insurance company releasedfinancial targets for the period 2027-2029. AXA expects circa €25 billion cumulative organic cash upstream in the period and a total payout ratio target of 75%. For this year, the company said it now expects underlying earnings per share growth to be at the top end of the 6%-8% range and its return on equity at the top end of its target range 14%-16%.
