Europe Gasoline/Naphtha-Gasoline refining margins fall
LONDON, Oct 2 (Reuters) - Northwest European gasoline refining margins fell by over $5 to $40.63 a barrel on Friday after the G7 group of nations decided to release diesel and other reserves.
A total of 2,000 metric tons of gasoline E5 barges traded, with ExxonMobil selling to Trafigura.
A further 2,000 tons of E10 barges traded, with ExxonMobil selling to Varo.
The G7 group of nations will undertake a co-ordinated release of 100 million barrels of diesel and other reserves through the International Energy Agency (IEA) to try and stabilise world energy markets, according to a joint G7 leaders' statement on Friday.
China's suspension this month of oil products exports to regions beyond Hong Kong and Macau could tighten supplies to some of its biggest buyers including Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.
Russia's oil refineries reduced oil processing volumes by 14% in the first nine months of the year compared with the same period of 2025 amid Ukrainian drone attacks, according to calculations by two industry sources.
