Europe Gasoline/Naphtha-Gasoline refining margins dip

By Reuters News

- Northwest European gasoline refining margins fell more than $15 to their lowest since mid-June to $26.56 a barrel on Friday as oil prices jumped close to $110 a barrel O/R.

  • In the Argus window, 9,000 metric tons of Eurobob E5 barges traded, with Equinor, Exxon and Aramco selling to TotalEnergies, Gunvor and MB Energy.

  • Shell also sold one cargo to TotalEnergies and two to Trafigura in the Platts window.

  • Shell and Exxon sold 8,000 tons of Eurobob E10 barges to Varo and BP.

  • Formosa Petrochemical, among Asia's largest fuel exporters, is reducing crude oil processing at its refinery in Mailiao, Taiwan, as it conducts maintenance at several units, the company's president said.

  • Meanwhile Asian gasoline margins nearly halved on Friday from a record high hit at the beginning of the month, as Chinese refiners resumed fuel exports, easing immediate supply concerns, traders and analysts said.
