China's Xpeng climbs on plan to offer tech solutions to foreign automakers

** Hong Kong shares of Chinese electric vehicle maker Xpeng 9868.HK climb 2.3% to HK$42.14, on track for the biggest one-day pct gain since August 26

** Stock touches the highest level since September 14 in the third straight gaining session

** US-listed shares rose 2.5% on Thursday in their best day since August 25

** Xpeng plans to offer its technology to foreign automakers beyond partner Volkswagen VOWG.DE as it seeks new revenue streams, according to two people familiar with the matter

** Xpeng has been in contact with some potential partners that have expressed interest in its technology, one of the sources said

** YTD, Hong Kong stock down 47.6%, US-listed shares down 47.7%, Hang Seng TECH Index .HSTECH down 20.4%
