Brazil's Nu jumps after denying pursuing Monzo deal

** In an SEC filing, NU says it is not pursuing a transaction with British digital bank Monzo

** Sky News last week reported that NU was in early-stage talks with Monzo about a potential combination

** NU's US-listed shares had slipped 10% on Monday after the media report

** "Nu is highly confident and focused on its strategic priorities: deepening its position in Brazil, scaling its businesses in Mexico and Colombia, and building its presence in the United States and around the world through Nu Global," NU said on Wednesday

** 15 of 18 brokerages rate the stock "buy" or higher, 2 "hold" and 1 "sell"; median PT $19 - data compiled by LSEG

** As of last close, NU stock down 24.4% YTD
