Australian energy stocks hit 4-week low as oil prices dip below $100

** Australian energy stocks .AXEJ fall as much as 1% in early trade, while broader benchmark AXJO trades flat

** Sub-index hits its lowest level since August 26

** Oil prices fell as top exporter Saudi Arabia began restoring crude supply on a critical pipeline to the Red Sea alongside hopes of a diplomatic resolution between Iran and the U.S.

** Shares of Woodside Energy WDS.AX and Santos STO.AX fall as much as 1.7% and 1.8%, respectively

** YTD, AXEJ up 27.9%, outperforming AXJO's 0.4% rise
