** The sector falls as oil prices retreat for a second day after Saudi Arabia offered additional crude cargoes through Oman, easing concerns over potential supply disruptions in the Middle East O/R

** Shares of major oil producers Santos STO.AX and Woodside Energy WDS.AX down 2.9% and 2%, respectively

** YTD, AXEJ sub-index up over 30%
