By Reuters News

- Apple supplier Jabil JBL.N and India's Adani Enterprises ADEL.NS said on Tuesday they had signed a non-binding agreement outlining the framework for a proposed 50:50 joint venture to manufacture and assemble AI and data center equipment in India.

  • The venture would manufacture AI racks, servers, storage and networking equipment for data centres, the companies said

  • It would also make equipment used to power and cool AI systems, including power distribution units, liquid-cooling systems and transformers

  • The proposed venture is expected to have a multi-gigawatt AI rack manufacturing capacity, the companies added

  • India's data center capacity is projected to reach between 5GW and 8GW by 2030

  • The move formalizes a June announcement that Jabil and Adani would explore creating an AI and data center infrastructure manufacturing platform in India

  • Jabil, which makes components for Apple AAPL.O, expects fiscal 2027 revenue of $44.5 billion and annual adjusted earnings per share of $17.55
