AlphaValue cuts Credit Agricole on looming macro risks

** AlphaValue downgrades French bank Credit Agricole CAGR.PA to "add" from "buy" due to worsening global macroeconomic conditions and increasing domestic risks

** The broker cut its EPS forecasts for 2026-2028 with the bulk of the downgrade hitting 2027

** It cuts revenue estimates for the bank's LCL retail and specialised financial services units amid lingering political and fiscal uncertainty in France

** The brokerage also slightly ups cost estimates to reflect higher inflation but expects the 2028 cost-to-income ratio to remain in line with guidance

** Out of 19 analysts covering Credit Agricole, nine rate it "strong buy" or "buy,"​ six "hold" and four "strong sell" or "sell" — LSEG data
