GLOBAL MARKETS Share markets slid in Asia on Monday, dragged down by AI stocks, while supply concerns in the Middle East caused oil prices to spike anew, and investors braced for likely interest rate hikes in both the United States and Japan this week.MKTS/GLOB WORLD OIL PRICES Oil prices rose more than 3% on Monday, after new Houthi strikes on Saudi Arabia and Iranian attacks on ships in the Gulf compounded supply concerns following the closure of a key Saudi oil pipeline.O/R

NIGERIA DANGOTE REFINERY Nigeria’s Dangote refinery has bought at least 16 million barrels of Nigerian crude for October arrival, according to four industry sources, in line with recent months and much higher than last year's average as Africa's largest refinery ramps up processing. KENYA DIAGEO ASSET SALE Kenya's competition authority has approved an application from Japan's Asahi Group Holdings Limited 2502.T to acquire sole control of Diageo's assets in Kenya, the authority said on Friday. SENEGAL DEBT Senegal's newly formed bondholder group said on Friday it will push for a debt treatment that is fair, sustainable and underpinned by credible economic assumptions and policy commitments.
