Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Texas, BigCommerce operates through offices in Australia, the UK, Singapore and Ukraine. It aims to help clients build and grow their businesses online, from store design, catalogue management, checkout, order management, reporting and more.
The platform provides tools designed to fuel growth by driving more online traffic, converting more sales, simplifying e-commerce management and providing personalised site audits and tailored advice from BigCommerce experts.
As of June 2022, more than 60,000 merchants across over 150 countries use BigCommerce’s platform. Its clientele includes Unilever’s Ben & Jerry’s (ULVR), S.C. Johnson, Skullcandy, and Vodafone (VODI). In April 2022 the company acquired software companies B2B Ninja and BundleB2B.
The company went public in 2020. BigCommerce Holdings, Inc. stock trades on the Nasdaq stock exchange under the ticker symbol BIGC.
