Coca Cola have launched the biggest product and marketing makeover in its 36-year history for its Diet Coke brand in an attempt to appeal to millennials.
Coca-Cola shares were down 0.6% in Wednesday trading, but up 12% for the past year.
The plan is to regain momentum in the struggling diet soda category. According to Nielsen data recently reported by Wells Fargo, Diet Coke's dollar sales fell 3.7% in the 52 weeks ending December 2.
The company said: “After speaking to more than 10,000 people and spending years exploring all kinds of combinations like tropical, citrus and even botanical notes, we found magic.”
The company is introducing four new flavours: Diet Coke Ginger Lime, Diet Coke Feisty Cherry, Diet Coke Zesty Blood Orange and Diet Coke Twisted Mango.
