LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, 13 March, 2024 – Capital.com, the high-growth global trading platform, has today announced The Capital.com Workation Initiative—a global employee programme aimed at promoting better balance between work commitments and lifestyle preferences. The Capital.com Workation Initiative will enable all eligible employees to work from any location outside their country of residence for up to 30 days a year.
Kypros Zoumidou, Group Chief Executive Officer, Capital.com, said:
“At Capital.com, we believe in empowering our employees to achieve their best potential while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The Capital.com Workation Initiative allows our colleagues to work remotely from a different location, whether it's within their home country or in a different country. We understand that flexibility is crucial to our employees, and offering this workation aligns with our commitment to provide a supportive and agile work environment.”
To ensure a fair, compliant and consistent implementation, Capital.com’s workation policy will include clear guidelines and robust health and safety measures. Workation requests will need to be pre-approved by an employee’s direct line manager and the HR team, and all employees will be required to continue to adhere to the organisation’s data and security policies while working remotely.
The Capital.com Workation Initiative is in response to employees changing preferences in a post-Covid world. Based on feedback from Capital.com’s recent employee engagement survey of nearly 1,000 employers across 7 different global locations, employees value the flexibility to work remotely so they may better integrate their professional and personal commitments.
Alida Cesani, Chief People Officer, Capital.com, said:
“We are constantly reviewing and improving our benefit schemes taking into account the feedback of our employees. Supporting our employees and their diverse lifestyle choices is central to our culture and we will continue to listen and respond to their needs and concerns.”
Capital.com already operates a hybrid work model with employees working three days in the office and two at home. The introduction of the Workation Initiative further strengthens Capital.com’s commitment to cultivate an agile and collaborative work environment which supports its employees well-being, productivity and work-life goals.
